1. Who we are
Ruck Rugby is a mobile application owned and operated by Dingoshouse LLC, a limited liability company formed in the State of Vermont, USA.
In these Terms, "Ruck Rugby", "we", "us", and "our" refer to Dingoshouse LLC. "You" refers to the person using the App. "App" refers to the Ruck Rugby mobile application available on iOS and Android.

2. Acceptance of these Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Ruck Rugby, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy at ruckrugby.com/privacy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Ruck Rugby. If you are using Ruck Rugby on behalf of another person or organisation, you confirm that you have the authority to bind them.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account and use Ruck Rugby. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this minimum age requirement.
If you are between 13 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction (typically 18), you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agrees to these Terms on your behalf.
Ruck Rugby is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to create accounts. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it.
4. Your account
To use Ruck Rugby you must create an account using email and password, Apple Sign In, or Google Sign In.
You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate information when you create your account.
- Keeping your account credentials secure.
- All activity that occurs under your account.
- Notifying us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.
You agree not to share your account, sell it, or allow another person to access it. We may suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe are shared, automated, or compromised.
5. Acceptable use
When you use Ruck Rugby, you agree not to:
- Manipulate, automate, or otherwise game the leaderboard, streak system, XP system, or matchmaking.
- Use bots, scripts, scrapers, or other automated tools to interact with the App or our servers.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the App except where local law expressly permits.
- Interfere with the App's security features, rate-limits, or anti-abuse systems.
- Upload, post, or transmit content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or that infringes another person's rights.
- Impersonate another person, including any team, club, brand, or public figure.
- Use Ruck Rugby for any commercial purpose without our written permission.
- Use Ruck Rugby to violate any applicable law or regulation in your jurisdiction.
We may remove content, suspend features, or terminate accounts that breach these rules, with or without notice.
6. User-submitted content
Some features (display name, profile information, feedback messages, future features) allow you to submit content to Ruck Rugby. By submitting content you:
- Confirm that you have the right to submit it.
- Grant Ruck Rugby a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, display, reproduce, and adapt that content for the purpose of operating the App and improving our services.
- Acknowledge that you remain responsible for the content you submit and the consequences of submitting it.
We may remove user-submitted content at our discretion, including for breach of the Acceptable Use rules above.
7. In-app purchases and subscriptions
Ruck Rugby currently offers all gameplay for free. We plan to introduce optional paid features including:
- Ruck Pro subscription (monthly and annual auto-renewing subscriptions).
- Consumable purchases such as lifeline token packs.
- One-shot cosmetic purchases such as avatar frames, name colours, and profile backgrounds.
All purchases are processed through Apple App Store (StoreKit) or Google Play Billing. Your purchase is a transaction between you and Apple or Google, subject to their respective terms:

Subscription auto-renewal. Ruck Pro subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the next renewal. You can cancel at any time from your Apple ID or Google Play account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not refund unused time in the current period unless required by local law.
Refunds. All purchases are non-refundable except where required by Apple, Google, or applicable law. Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google, not by Ruck Rugby directly.
Consumables. Lifeline tokens are consumed when used in-app and have no monetary value outside the App. We do not transfer, sell, or convert tokens to currency.
Cosmetic items. Avatar frames, name colours, and other cosmetics are tied to your account and do not transfer between accounts or to other apps.
8. Virtual items, XP, and leaderboards
XP, levels, grades, badges, lifeline tokens, country contributions, leaderboard positions, and any other in-App virtual items have no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash. They are part of the App's gameplay experience.
We may adjust the formulas, thresholds, or balancing of any in-App system at any time as part of normal product development. We will avoid changes that materially reduce items you have already purchased, but we reserve the right to retire features or seasons in the ordinary course.
9. Intellectual property
All content in the App, including the Ruck Rugby name and logo, the design, software, question text, illustrations, and badge artwork, is owned by or licensed to Ruck Rugby. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without our written permission, except as permitted by applicable law (for example, fair use or fair dealing).
You retain ownership of any content you submit, subject to the licence in Section 6.
Third-party trademarks (including national rugby unions, competition names, and brand names referenced in questions) belong to their respective owners. Their inclusion in trivia content is factual reference, not endorsement or affiliation.
10. Third-party services
Ruck Rugby uses third-party services to operate, including:
- Supabase (backend, authentication, database).
- Apple (App Store, Apple Sign In, App Store payments).
- Google (Play Store, Google Sign In, Play Billing).
- Expo (build and update infrastructure).
Your use of those services is subject to their own terms of service and privacy policies. See our Privacy Policy at ruckrugby.com/privacy for the data we share with them.
11. Service availability
We aim to keep Ruck Rugby available, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. The App may be unavailable from time to time for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our control.
We may add features, change features, or remove features at any time. We will avoid removing major features without notice but we cannot guarantee that every feature available today will be available tomorrow.
12. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, if your account is compromised, if you abuse our anti-cheat or anti-abuse systems, or if required by law.
You may delete your account at any time from the Profile tab in the App, or request deletion at ruckrugby.com/account-deletion if you no longer have the App installed. Account deletion is permanent and removes your gameplay history, XP, badges, avatar, and unlocked cosmetics. Active subscriptions must be cancelled separately through Apple or Google.
13. Disclaimers
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that:
- The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
- Trivia questions and answers are free from error. Trivia content reflects information available at the time of writing and may become outdated.
- The App will meet your requirements or expectations.
Nothing in these Terms limits any non-excludable rights you have under your local consumer protection laws.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ruck Rugby and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising from or related to your use of the App, including loss of profit, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the App is limited to the greater of:
- The total amount you have paid Ruck Rugby in the 12 months preceding the claim, or
- US$50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
15. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Ruck Rugby harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the App.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Vermont, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
Any dispute arising under these Terms will first be addressed by good-faith negotiation between you and Ruck Rugby. If we cannot resolve the dispute within 30 days, the dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Chittenden County, Vermont, and you and Ruck Rugby consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
This clause does not affect any non-waivable rights you have to bring a claim in your local court under consumer protection law.
17. Apple-specific terms
If you downloaded Ruck Rugby from the Apple App Store:
- These Terms are between you and Ruck Rugby, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the App.
- In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (where applicable). Apple has no further warranty obligation.
- Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the App.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make a material change, we will notify you in the App or by email and update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the App after the update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
19. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.
20. Copyright complaints
We respect intellectual property rights and expect users to do the same. If you believe content in the App infringes your copyright, send a notice to [email protected] with:
- Your name, address, and contact details.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed.
- Identification of the material you claim is infringing and where it appears in the App.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
We will respond to valid notices consistent with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and may remove the material and, where appropriate, terminate repeat infringers.
21. Entire agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy at ruckrugby.com/privacy, are the entire agreement between you and Ruck Rugby regarding the App and supersede any prior agreements or understandings on that subject. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
