Ruck Academy
Rugby runs on some of the most dynamic, tightly structured laws in world sport. Not sure why the forwards pack down, or how offside works at the ruck? Tap through the fundamentals, built so a total newcomer leaves fluent.
When a ball-carrier is tackled to the ground they must release the ball instantly. Teammates bind over it on their feet to protect possession while opponents push back to steal it. Players enter through the gate from behind the back foot, or give away a penalty.
A scrum restarts play after a minor infringement, like a knock-on or a forward pass. Eight forwards from each team bind together in three rows and shove against the opposition while the scrum-half feeds the ball into the tunnel.
In open play, any player in front of the teammate who last touched the ball is offside and must retreat before getting involved. At rucks, mauls and scrums an invisible offside line stretches across the pitch. Creep over it early and the referee blows for a penalty.
When the ball goes out over the touchline, play restarts with a lineout. Forwards from both teams form two parallel lines, the hooker throws the ball down the middle corridor, and teammates lift their jumpers high into the air to claim it.
Five ways to put points on the board. A try, grounding the ball over the line, is worth 5 points and earns a conversion kick worth 2 more. A penalty kick is 3 points, and a drop goal struck in open play is also worth 3.
A maul forms when a ball-carrier is held up but not brought to ground, and teammates bind on to drive forward as a single unit. It is most lethal from a lineout near the try-line, a rolling wall of forwards that is hard to stop within the laws.

Yes. Ruck Rugby will be free to play at launch. Daily Test, Quick Match, Topic Rounds, Live Quiz, Country Leagues, and Head to Head duels will all be open from day one. Ruck Pro may arrive later with extra perks, but core gameplay will stay free.
No pop-ups between questions. No banner clutter. No rewarded video forcing its way into the match. We may introduce sponsor-backed events in the future, but ads will never decide rankings, matchmaking, or leaderboard position.
